Who Stole My Basil? 
Hi Kevin and Deidre,
We just learned of your blog yesterday when we visited Modera, and met with George Padula, for the first time.
It’s great to see you’re enjoying your great adventure to the old country, pieni di brio.
Nancy and I are hanging in there, working and making adjustments, as much as we unrepentant 60’s radical types can do.
We haven”t thanked you enough for all you did for us in those days of clinical trials. You were a genuine friend and an “uomo serio” as they say in the South.
Speaking of Italia Meridionale, I did locate on my travels on the Internet, the town of my great grandfather, Saracena (CS) in Calabria.( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ao6nwR1In4Q) Here’s a truly unique place untouched by time and tourism. And the orgiastic Festa di San Leone (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2Ib_5QEPyg) is February 19- 20. (check 10:19 of the video) that sounds memorable. And you can ski there too.
